Day 1: Mineral driven featuring dust, lemon, stone and chalk. Lacks fruit and is a bit astringent. Not bad but certainly not a great White Burgundy. 88 points Day 2: Better with stone, floral, lemon, minerals and grapefruit. Not so chalky on day 2 and more balanced. Good acidity. This needs some time. 90 points Recommendation: Hold these until 2022 and beyond.

Chris Bratcher's Birthday Tasting with Martine's Wines (Riverside Wine & Spirits): Dominique Cornin farms biodynamically and believes in making wine with little intervention to allow it express its terroir. Sourced from three vineyards at the foothills of Chaintré with vines plants between 1968 and 1985 on clay-limestone soil beaded with fluvial pebbles then fermented and aged in stainless steel.

Served chilled. Fresh, clean, with medium weight and bright acidity. Notes of dark citrus with cooked lemons and a bit of hops. The heat is elevated for me so with the acidity gives it a little (beer) "tangy" finish that's almost effervescent but isn't. Good.

First screw cap failure. I am guessing heat damage on this wine.
