Drank at 67 (Belgian Bottling) A real pleasure to drink this on New Year's Eve (thanks Matt). Fully mature but alive with a wonderful complex palate. A beauty

Classic mature Bordeaux aromas of lead pencil, wet earth, cigar box cedar, and dried black fruits. Flavors and texture dominated by a zippy acidic structure, and a rustic dried black berry component. Earthy and dry with fruit qualites placed behind the wall of hearty tension. Good to very good wine, especially considering the age, but seeming a bit out of balance and a tad rustic. 92

Great Older Wines at the Place to Drink Great Older Wines (Tampa FL): From bottle perfectly stored for probably the past 50+ years. Riper vs the Latour 1920, but less harmonious or powerful. Big structure still more front-and-center vs fruit, earth or spice. Moderate length. Still very interesting.

Completely gone. Nose is like an antique book shop. The wine was turbid. But it's almost 100 years old! Not sour but also not very good. But unique to try. No score.

A bird flew and died in this wine. Furry, with airing, birdshit. sweet rotten cabbage. Some cherry on palate that is surviving, together with unidentified smashed fruits on a ship's deck. Washed off with acid. Suspect flaw but with something this old it was always a historical experience rather than enjoyment.
