  • Dense black fruits with some hints of gooseberries, raspberries and spicy oak. The palate showed even darker and spicier fruits, energetic mid-palate, lifted acidity and tannins which were quite forward. Wine is still quite closed, not revealing a lot now. Need plenty of time in the bottle and decanter.

After 2 hours, some herbs and savoury notes developed in the mid-palate and tannins softened, but the overall blackcurrant and gooseberries profile did not changed much. Finish remained rather short.

  • A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Syrah (15%).

Fully opaque, extracted purple-black color. Ripe, yet noticeably restrained - even closed - nose with aromas of sweet, soft dark berries, some herbaceous currant leaft ones and a hint of tar. The wine is full-bodied, sweet-toned and quite anonymous on the palate with flavors of ripe plummy fruit, marmaladey dark berries, some generic jammy blackberry tones, a little bit of extracted woody bitterness and a hint of toffee oak. The wine shows some sense of structure with its moderately high acidity and gently grippy medium tannins. The finish is ripe, sweet-toned and quite anonymous with flavors of licorice, overripe plummy fruits, some jammy blackcurrant tones, a hint of extracted woody bitterness and a hint of caramel oak.

A very boring, generic and thoroughly anonymous new world red with no depth, balance or sense of place. Dull and ponderous with jammy fruit and rather unbalanced, extracted oak. Quite unpleasant. Avoid.
