Storage once again is everything. This wine hasn't seen 51 degrees since it was put in a cellar in the mid 80's. Quite youthful in color. Very clean bright tasty red fruit on the palate, but dryness increasingly takes over as it goes to the finish. Not that far from a much higher rated wine, but filtering was big in 1983, and this may just be one of the cases where the filtering took out much of the extract. The fruit quality is delicious, but the dryness ultimately captures the finish.

Passed its prime, unfortunately. Still enjoyable to drink, but no compelling story to tell.
