Great nose of licorice, mint, and leather. On the palate, unfortunately, it’s a bit too viscous and jammy for my personal taste…almost has the mouthfeel of a dessert wine.

Minor sediment on decanting. Medium red. Mixture of spice and lifted sweetish red fruits. Classic CDP structure. Good strength of red berry flavours . Better fruit strength than most CDP. Fruit sweetness on the nose flows through to the palate. Good length. A good wine. I look forward to trying the VV down the track. This is beginning to drink and will do for maybe 7-10 years.

This wine is a beautifully dense wine with a lot of power. But has a lot of power in reserve as well. Poured a really nice muddy black cherry color to the glass. The nose has a lot of brambly bing cherries and raspberry licorice, cola, kirsche, and baking spice. The palate is a beautiful full bodied version of the nose, adding basil, cardamom and black tea leaf finishing with a spicy neutral oak and mild black pepper finish. Wonderful structure and balance for a CDP that only has 7 years of age on it. This paired well with a herbed spicy chicken thigh and banza chickpea rice. What a beautiful wine, and really kicking myself that this is my only one. Going to try to get some 2016! This drinks nicely now but this 15 will hold for QUITE a while with proper cellaring.

Red berries, pepper, forest floor on the nose. Medium+ finish, raspberry and strawberry, tasty.

Very viscous. Ruby color, but with lots of suspended sediment. Raspberry and strawberry notes on nose and palate. Good value CNdP.
