Crisp chard fruit on the nose. Full on the palate. Not oaked I would guess but could use a little bit of oak. Otherwise good stuff at $20 or so. Actually, its 3% new barrels. I could maybe use it at 10%. That's just me. Chalonaise fruit for the most part, allot of old vine there is the reason.

At room temp shows the fatness and forwardness of 2015. Cooler shows better balance. Some nice complexity for a base Bourgogne. VV and low yield will help this. A pleasant quaffer for this summer.

Lovely Burgundian structure. Lifted almost truffly nose, complex chardonnay flavours. Drinks well above its station Outstanding QPR

Mavens and Aficionados Burgundy "class": The Cote de Nuits (Maple and Ash Chicago, Illinois): Another tasting "class" with Mavens and Aficionados, this time on the Cote de Nuits. Starting with a little white. Very fragrant floral aromas, a touch of oak, mild acidity with just a hint of sweetness. Very pretty for a modest wine.

Pure Chardonnay aromas. Clean and pretty, with less oak than many Bourgogne's. Fresh, smooth and delicate in the mouth.
