Not very well focused, flabby fruit without good acid balance. A bit tannic and dry on the finished. La Nerthe is usually a great producer, unfortunately kind of got lost in this wine.

No formal notes. Very aromatic, sweet and pleasant. Strawberries, plums, floral and herbal notes. Soft, but not fat neither flabby. I'd say almost elegant for a C9. Can't see it improving further.

Tasted blind. Pleasant nose of plums, strawberries, and violets, with hints of white pepper (Rhone garrigue? ;). Medium bodied, seamless and indulgent. Serious plum fruit spiced with brown sugar. The mid palate unveils white pepper and garrigue, which carry on into a lingering finish. The bashful subtleties up front end up blooming completely. My favorite of the lineup. Totally my style.
