Ditto previous notes. Addendum: Day 2, this wine is exquisite paired with pasta smothered in sage butter sauce. The oak just seems to melt away. Changing my score to 92!

This is a well made new world style Chardonnay. Cristom is primarily a Pinot Noir producer. Their Pinot Noir is made in a somewhat fruit forward Burgundian style, blending the best of the new and old world. I was expecting a little more Burgundy in their Chardonnay. Good fruit. No residual sugar noted, but significant oak imparts a strong butterscotch character. Slightly hot on the finish.

Polished and modern, yet not overdone. Excellent substance, balance, and finish.

Willamette Valley Trip - June 2018; 6/8/2018-6/11/2018: 33% new oak. Some tropical fruit flavors, no butter, but round and full. Leans more Californian in style.

Subtle flowers on the nose. Hint of banana? Crisp to start, Well rounded fruit and a creamy finish. Great chard.
