SLDS Single Bottle Dinner: ~4000 bottles per vintage, 12 months in oak and chestnut barrels, first release since 2006 vintage.
Licorice, meaty notes, olives, herb, coffee and ash - a lot of character and complexity on the nose. Very balanced on the palate, with good texture and depth. Not too glossy or plush, retaining that aromatic profile and savoury flavour. Obviously young but already interesting and good.

The palate is still a little compact, but the density is certain. We find the broth side then the spices, with an excellent balance, between a fine acidity and a well-made tannin. The material is very concentrated, with a nice spicy finish.
Very beautiful, will be even more with time.

Decanted for an hour plus before serving. A seductive nose with coffee beans, mocha, sweet dark fruit and minerals. Surprisingly accessible and expressive on the palate which resembles the nose. My first Valentini red.

Tasted through service. Big expectations and excited. Really deep, concentrated with opaque color. Very concentrated, tight nose of Black fruits and a hint of savoury note. Liquorice, cacao, mint. Alos slightly higher alcohol level. On the palate very intense acidity almost a feel of gas. Full body with round texture and really gentle tannins. Unfortunately the wine did not meet the expectations or is still too young. Very simple, quite huge and unbalanced.

A nose on the very heady meat juice.
