I PNP this bottle which I normally don’t do. The wine had a light red center and light orange rims. The medium intensity wine generated cherry, tan spices, sandalwood, and high-toned waxy notes.
In the mouth, this was round and friendly with light rounded tannin and good length.
While it was a medium/light bodied wine, it clearly firmed up and got better after 2 hours. It may well have reached 95 if I had it open earlier but I did not.

From an excellent looking bottle with a red center and light orange/tan rims, this wine emanated black cherries, plum, light menthol, and tan spices. The menthol died down with air and the spices ascended.
In the mouth, this wine was gorgeous with it refined texture, ripe fruit, and notable integrated tannin. It had plenty of fruit to support its attractive structure. It got more and more tannic with air and then the tannin receded such that it came back into balance. However, it was clearly a Piedmont product tasted blind.
This wine was solidly in its drinking zone. However, it will easily last for 20 years. Enjoy!
