La Paulée Chassagne-Montrachet Dinner-Moreau, Pillot, and Colin-Morey (Gabriel Kreuther, New York): Deeper yellow. Gorgeous aromatic mix of herbs, fruit, and subtle oak. More floral as it opens. Flowing pear fruit, fabulous texture and legth. Despite only average acidity, it is not too ripe and the balance is there due to wonderful citrus/soil interplay. Seductive and lovely now, some future potential as well.

Salon Focofi Paris walkabout and dinner, so no detailed tasting notes. From MAG. Great white here as well and not far off the La Romanée. Rich, ripe with excellent acidity and flinty notes. Top class.

This bottle is quite closed upon opening, so we decide to let it breathe for 30min. The nose is still a bit restrained with a hint of white flowers and wet stone. The nose really starts to bloom after an hour with white peach, some apricot, and again white flower. Lemon peel with a hint of apricot dominant the palate, with medium acidity and weight. Balanced. Overall this is well-made but seems to have a bit less “characteristic” and nuance.

Didn't deliver quite as much as my last bottle, but still quite nice!

Excellent. Flinty, high acidity, so much energy, with lovely weight and balance. Just really, really good. Hits every note I hope for with white Burg.
