  • The initial attack was really good, tasting of fresh and sweet ripe raspberries infused with spice. There was a savoury element with a super streak of acidity, but surprisingly the tannins were a little too firm, suggesting a little heavy-handedness on the extraction. The fruit quality, weight and balance were all perfect though, but this never really delivered the silkiness of texture and depth of flavour I was expecting. Enjoyed with roast pheasant breast it proved to be an excellent match. CHP 88pts

  • The color is pale ruby. On the nose there are pronounced aromas of red cherries, strawberries, smoke, little leather and balsamic notes. The wine has tertiary notes. I guess the wine isn't fully developed. That's why I will store the last bottle I have another 3 years. I am curious to see how the wine develops. The acidity is high. The tannins and the body are medium. The wine is very well balanced. On the palate the are flavours which are similar to the aromas on the nose and also pronounced, additionally red currant, sour cherries and some slight wooden notes. The finish is long. Great QPR! Glass I used: I tried different glasses (Zalto Burgundy, Riedel Veritas Old World Pinot, Grassl Cru, Josephine No 3). For my taste the Riedel Veritas Old World Pinot was without doubt the best glass because in this glass everything was integrated and the wine was extremely well balanced.

  • Vibrant and delicious raspberry and cherry fruit developing spice and black chocolate. Full flavoured with a super length of finish, there is absolutely nothing to dislike. A real crowd pleaser but still a serious contender. Loved it. CHP 92 pts

  • Color: pale ruby / Nose: intense, dark cherries, smoke, little leather / Palate: high acidity, low tannins, medium bodied, very good length, red cherries, redcurrant, very little vanilla / Glass I used: Grassl Cru / Overall: A very nice Burgundy with an excellent QPR (8/10).
