The Planeta family delivers as always with their Cometa blend. Had it with crayfish bisque and a strong cheese quiche lorraine. Typical nose for the fiano grape, with great palate as well. Reminds very much of a top class Chassagne Montrachet, but with a more "buttery" palate. Excellent wine according to my opinion.

An unusual wine for me. Golden in color. Thick, rich without becoming fat. Has a sweetness that distinguishes it from a chardonnay, not quite off-dry, but flirts with it. Nicely focused oak keeps this sweetness in check, and the resulting combination is a very full-bodied but balanced white wine.

The best of the Italian whites opened on this occasion. Drinking at its peak, concentrated white nectarine fruits with a good mineral core and finely balanced acidity.

Buttery with clear and elegant taste of flower, some peach and gooseberry. Great body. Very good alternative to an expensive Chassagne Montrachet.
