A Sunday BBQ with some Shiraz; 6/9/2013-6/12/2013 (The Garden): Initially I thought this had gone, but it was just the wiff of dry petrol. Exotic wine that has definetly changed over the years, but not for the better. There is a lot of petrol, soap and stone fruit and the high acidity stops it from being to cloying. Interesting, but only to a group of wine collectors - my mother would probably have poured it down the sink. Drink young.

Really strong and focussed parrafin and lime nose. The palate is more lime cordial than fresh lime, which makes it taste a bit 'cheap'. Good, light texture with but presence. This is a pretty good wine, qualitatively, but not really my cup of tea. 11.5% abv.

Excellent with roast chicken. Nectar, thick and honeyish without being sweet. Oak very integrated.
