  • Luminous pale raspberry color with colorless rim. Fresh and quite savory nose with aromas of crunchy red berries, some earthy spices, a little bit of brambly raspberry and hint of sappy fresh fruits. The wine is quite light-bodied, fruity and supple on the palate with fresh flavors of ripe cranberries, tart lingonberries, some brambly raspberry tones, a little bit of spicy Pinosity and a hint of crunchy redcurrant. Overall the wine is quite supple and approachable with its moderately high acidity and gentle, light tannins. The finish is slightly spicy and gently bitter with quite dry flavors of crunchy cranberries and lingonberries, some peppery spice, a little bit of smoke and a sweeter hint of ripe raspberry.

A nice, fresh and fruity little Pinot Noir. Overall pretty mellow, easy and straightforward in style with emphasis on the linear and very fruit-forward character. A simple and approachable everyday Pinot. True to the Alsatian style of Pinot Noir, but offers quite little anything of interest. A reliable weekday red for lighter dishes.

  • No Jubilee more: Hugel's trend towards terroir, over brand (Hugel & Fils): I liked the overall red fruit juicy aspect, even if I got a touch of underripe fruit that prevents me from giving a more enthusiastic score. Medium bodied and medium finish.
