Notes from second day. The cork on this one seems to have held up. (Many of the 2016 Paetra's I've had in the last couple of years have been premoxed from bad corks). Peach, apricot, honey, some lower level lime citrus under the stone fruits. Moderate sweetness (it's supposed to be a late harvest/spatlese) with good balancing acidity. It seems a bit one dimensional to me this time and seems like it's all stone fruit and slightly heavy sweetness. I still like it and think it's well done, but it seems a little flat to me this time.

Popped and poured. Complex aroma of apricot, honey and a touch of kumquat. Sweet flavors of pear, honey, minerals, among others. Rich finish. Intense, sweet, firm backbone, some complexity. Outstanding QPR.

Interesting bottle of Oregon Riesling, well-made, quite mature. Some pleasant sweetness, but for me defiantly sweeter than feinherb. Slightly oxidized notes mixed with, maybe not a perfect bottle.

Peach, apricot, honey, melon, some lime, slate and petrol. Has really come along since lasted tasted in Jan 2020. Moderate sweetness balanced by crisp acidity. Really strong minerality in the finish. I have a couple more bottles so with luck I can hang onto them for a few more years to see where this goes since it still seems like it's on an upward arc.
