  • This is delicious. Golden with a touch of pink. Apple skin, grape juice and limestone. Very deep and complex nose. Dry palate with persistent bubbles. Pungent. Precise. Solid yet refreshing. Long. Wonderful. (93)

it Needs 30 mins to Show up with a ripe fruit, salinity and Balance. You feel the powerful Aromas of the Pinot but it is not broad. For a brut natute juicy and precise. 92-93

  • 2nd bottle this year. Same specs as previous: 2014 base, 100% Pinot Noir, zero dosage, farmed biodynamic. Grown in the Aube, in the deepest southern part of Champagne, with this fruit grown over Kimmeridgian soils, much like that of Chablis. Opened this yesterday, didn't seal it all that well overnight so there is a light CO2 imprint that remains but it's mostly still. This bottle is a more filled out than the last one. Aromatic of dried herb, white pepper, baked apple and flint. The core of this is also flinty, with green apple, black cherry, pear and citrusy grapefruit. It also reminds me of some of the Marguet wines. mixing the same citrus and berry notes. Overall, this is very good, with a fruit purity I enjoy.

  • First bottle of three. Opened last night, kept closed by a bottle clip so there are plenty of bubbles here a day later. Disgorged 09/2017, zero dosage. It is also sans soufre, and farmed bio. This is good, yet it is lean. Lemon, strawberry, thyme and a streak of minerality running through the core and into the finish. This is crisper and refreshing, and is not going to be well-received by those who want a fleshier expression. There is texture present here, and it comes through but as it does, the acidity and spine bring wrap it all together.
