  • 2nd bottle from the case, equally as ethereal and enchanting, fruit just opening up and supported by a beautifully judged structure or gentle ripe tannins. Overall a lovely precise, elegant and delicate wine at present, I'm sure this has the balance to age for a couple more decades if given the chance! By the end of the evening the fruit had become much darker and tannins more pronounced.

  • Another very nice bottle of this; bright cherry and red currant with orange peel, mineral, a hint of clove and smoke. Nose is very classic Chambolle, but fresher than you might think a 2015 would be. Good depth though not great from a 1er cru of this vintage. That said I really enjoy it for the classic profile on the nose and the mineral elegance on the palate.

  • Lovely wine! A very 'feminine' wine with appealing red fruit, soft tannins, and great balance. Improved with an hour of aeration. This is drinking super well right now and should last for at least another decade.

  • No contemporaneous notes. I rarely post tasting notes of wines not from my own cellar. This is one of the exceptions. This wine, served by a good friend with a delicious duck dinner, displayed a lovely, floral, intoxicating nose and was rich, complex, balanced and delicious on the palate. Everything you would want in a 1er cru Burgundy. Excellent to outstanding. (94-95+).

  • This is a gorgeous, perfumed Burgundy that's now beginning to show some hints of maturity. It features the delicious cherry essence of the vineyard along with crisp acidity and fresh mineral lift. There is a lovely succulent grip on the finish with complex notes of cherry spice and mint. A beautifully-rendered Chambolle and a perfect accompaniment to boeuf bourguignon. 93+
