Burgundy For Lunch Bunch Holiday Event 2023 (Phoenix, AZ USA): Gorgeous wine, but interestingly not presenting any of the signature Ramonet mint. Rather I got a lovely note of cinnamon, which led me to think this was Montrachet (wine was served blind). Not far off, and certainly the quality is here. Rich and viscous, this is now showing the benefits of age. I'd be inclined to drink this over the next year or two, rather than risk oxidation muting this magnificent wine.

Signature Ramonet mint on the nose, much more than I recall from previous experiences with this wine. Absolutely lovely pure texture, so refined like drinking liquid diamond dust. Impeccable balance and a long finish. Showed wonderfully from the first sip and kept improving in the glass. This is a world class Burgundy, and exemplifies the best of the Ramonet style.

Holiday Burgundy Lunch: Served blind. Youngish but quite giving, so fresh and the flavor keeps building. Got more refined and nuanced with time in the glass. This is great now, but will probably become one of the all time greats with more bottle age. There's always the worry of premox so I'd rather err on the side of caution, but if a bottle of this can last another decade it will probably be unreal.

A brilliant bottle. Interestingly, not as "2014" as Ramonet's other Grand Crus. Bolder and richer than anticipated, but absolutely delightful. Like a lot of 2014s this will drink well early and likely hold indefinitely.

A great wine, that kept improving over the course of three hours. Decanted for 30 minutes then brought to the restaurant.
