  • A: Pale gold

P: Dry, high acid, medium alcohol, pronounced intensity, medium (+) body, medium (+) finish
Furmiint is ageing beautifully. My goodness. This one has many years left to improve. Very happy. More fruit forward than it was 2 years ago. Enjoying the arrival of the first tertiaries.

  • THIRTY In THIRTY; 4/1/2021-4/30/2021: A: Medium lemon
N: Medium (+) nose of orange, peach, honeysuckle, ginger, GUNSMOKE/FLINT dominant, rye, yeast, cream, green pepper
P: Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (12%), medium body, medium (+) intensity, medium (+) finish
C: Very good quality wine here. it is quite savoury but great balance of fruit and intensity and earth to acidity. Good length and intensity and some complexity here.
Best furmint that I have ever had and at under $20/bottle, it has wonderful QPR.Great with food given that acidity and intensity or drink on its own. I think this is certainly suitable for ageing. I would love to revisit in 5 years but sadly, Im going to drink the bejesus out of my last bottle long before that.

  • Just had a quick taste. Seashells, soft waxy floral notes, white grapey, some lemon on the finish. M- acid, a bit round/soft but also it’s 5 years old and probably not meant for age. I don’t think I’ve ever had Tokaji before and I don’t know what this cost but it’s decent enough. I can see how the varietal would make good dessert wine.

  • Blind, I would have guessed chenin. Waxy textured, tropical fruit welded to a citric lemon core. A fair amount of floral, mineral bitterness in the mid-palate - borderline too much. Tasty but short on the finish.
