Beautiful inexpensive aged white Burgundy. There’s a light kiss of oak that shows on the nose with vanilla and smoke followed by canteloupe, melon, peach, Meyer lemon, pear, bruised apple, honey, and marzipan. The nose follows onto the palate with the addition of lemon tart and white pepper with high acidity, medium body and medium finish. The intensity of flavor stands up well to sushi, swordfish and asparagus. Great food wine.

A budget Premier Cru from Cote Chalonnaise, but not without dignity. Interesting combination of fruit (nectarine, peach, yellow apple) and stony minerality, with oak not really perceivable (after all only 10-15% of the wine goes through barrel ageing). Good acidity and medium body, delicate white pulp fruit in the mouth. Elegant. Some persistence in the aftertaste.
Another world compared to a Meursault Premier Cru, but at this price the "Premier Cru" label surely has some attractiveness.
