I purchased 9 from acker auction. I have opened two bottles, the first was a mid shoulder bottle. The ls readily appeared to be a misfill bottle in which as strange as this might sound, it looked like the bottle had more of the stabilizing brandy than it should have as the wine poured incredibly light in color. My rating is for the 2nd bottle, which showed that the first was a flawed bottle. Corks on both bottles were very tough to get out. 2nd bottle fill was base neck.
The wine needed a decant as it seemed like it was not as "integrated" as it should have been, but once I sipped some of the integrated bottle from the decanter it showed bing cherry flavors and carmel. Nice but more delicate than I would have preferred. I see no reason to age this further. There are better 77's out there than this.

This was a great ending to a dinner at RococoSteak with old friends. Filtered thru a bottle filter/spout which trapped LOTS of sediment. I didn't record where I bought this or the price, but wish that I had more!

This was delicious! From my birth year. Cork was in perfect condition. Used some to make a port reduction for dinner. Just amazing and delicious. Wish I had another bottle. Any one have an extra they are willing to part with?!?
Some may say this is "past" but I must disagree. One of the smoothest ports I've ever tasted. My wife doesn't typically like port Madeira or dessert wine but was pleasantly surprised by this.
On the nose dried fruit, leather, molasses. Palate is a touch of almost licorice, peat and red berry (dare I say raspberry?). An enjoyable bottle which I truly don't feel is past prime. Drinking beautifully with friends tonight.

Ganske lukket på åbningsdagen, men forrygende god efter syv dag. Meget vinøs og frugtrig.
