  A lovely old world nose of black fruit, cedarbox, a little oak. The palate was new world and had a little plum, mixed with black fruits, smooth tannins, it was medium to full bodied, but not in an overpowering way. It had a long complex finish with some dryness, but this was balanced with some sweet fruit. I must say that I was pretty impressed with this 90 points

  The wine appears clear, medium, ruby red. On the nose the wine is medium intense with primary, secondary and tertiary notes. It has notes of violets, blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry, bayleaf, a hint of eucalyptus and anise, vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee and sweet tobacco notes. On the palate the wine is dry, with med.+ acidity, med.+ tannins, high alcohol, full body and a medium finish. Flavour intensity is high with flavours of blackberry, blackcurrant and dark chocolate. I decanted the wine for around 2 hours. This softened the wine evidently. Overall a big (food) wine that can be enjoyed for many more years. Price tag (33 euros) a bit too high imho.
