  • A little tart cherry and earth together with mid level backbone. Opens in the glass, minimal tertiary notes. In a good place now, but a bit more time too.

  • G20; 4*+8.5*+4.5*+8.5+8.5+4.5+4*=93+; 13.5% alc. Just approaching the start of its drinking window, needing some time open and in the glass to round out. Color is a medium garnet with just a touch of tawny (none on the palate). Aromas much more fruit-forward upon opening and then fading into much better overall balance with some time. Mostly cherry, darker berry, with Pinot spice notes. Mouthfeel is just a bit tight upon opening, but on day two (pumped) it was pure silk with good tannic and acidic structure to balance the fruit. Definite minerality also helps the structure on a long and penetrating finish. Overall nicely balanced after being open for a while. Holding well now, but like most Privé wines I would not expect this to cellar much beyond 8-10 year window. Right now I would say to drink before 2026.

  • Medium red color, full mouth bright red cherry feel. Hints of peat and mushrooms. Paired well with ground turkey

  • Overripe Bing cherry pie and light secondary menthol notes that blow off quickly. The overripe, preserved cherry aroma gives way to kirsch and more of a Black Forest Cake profile with undertones of tar and earth. Very interesting wine, evolves quickly in the glass right now. Eventually has some lovely smoky undertones wth the ripe cherry flavors. Nice.

  • Another 6 month barrel tasting, absolutely amazing. Beautiful earthy, mineral nose just full of complexity and less fruit forward than the le nord. Thus one will age better than the le nord, and will pay off amazingly.
