Did a 2105 Pinot tasting of Anthill Farms Harmony Lane, Samsara’s Rancho La Vina, and Big Table Farm Sunnyside Vineyard
The Anthill Farms was the favorite of the three with the best balance of acid and tannins. It had the lowest % alcohol. Tasters noted Lillacs, Pepper, Earth and Sour cherry. It was “darker” than the Santa Rita Hills Pinot

Really interesting bottle. At first was super funky with an herbal thing going on. Moved onto dark red berries, strawberry, and almost a bit of leather on the end. Good acidity. Give it some air and the funk seems to blow off.

Restrained nose, with slightly drying bright berries, a little funk, and some wet stone mineral notes, bright and fresh palate, light body, medium plus acidity and medium length

Nice mouth but the presentation is only “good” in the nose and the length.

Let it open over 5 hours. Evolved beautifully. Nutmeg raspberries, loam, some sour plum, cinnamon. A lovely wine and a great value.
