  Dense and light at the same time; nose if violets, menthol, and burnt bacon (in the best way)

  Mörk, kraftfull och friskt bärig för att vara en barolo en bra bit in i medelåldern. Här fanns också någon rosenknopp och lite svart te men det bestående intrycket var den friska saftigheten. Kul överraskning på födelsedagsmiddagen.

  surprisingly young and vibrant. Fruit is bright and cherry based.
  still more primary but it has evolved to the point that it's worth drinking now but based on this bottle full maturity is years away. Great concentration and length and well balanced. The best wine I have had from this vintage.

  App: brick-red
  Aroma: mushrooms, licorice, moist forest floor, tar, leather
  Full-bodied with excellent acidity and fine grained and available tannins. But still a great structure. Nice concentration.
  Excellent length with a perfect sweet spot in the finish. (94)
  
  Not decanted. Probably at peak, but will still keep for some years
  
  Høstlykke! Perfekt moden Borgogno Barolo Classico Riserva 1997, skogssopprisotto med selvplukket steinsopp, piggsopp og kantareller, og indrefilet av lam og okse.
  
  Mursteinsrød. Ikke dekantert, men drukket over ca tre timer. Flott og moden aroma av sopp, fuktig skogsbunn, lakris, tjære og lær. Fyldig, konsentrert, syrlig og strukturert vin med finkornede og tilgjengelige tanniner. Super lengde med en perfekt liten sødme I avslutningen. Og kun 13 % alkohol er deilig. (94)
