This wine brings a lot of pleasure. The texture is balanced with enough age to bring forward the complexities from behind the big fruit. Delia Viader has a beautiful vineyard that is capable of great things.....

Dark blackish garnet colored, medium bodied, this opened with an obtuse acidic edge of black cherry that took a half hour to shed. Over the course of the hour it gained complexity and depth with concentrated black fruits punctuated by pencil lead, creosote and tobacco leaf. The longer it was opened the more it took on a layer of sweetness with tones of dark chocolate/mocha and sweet oak with gripping tannins on the moderate finish. Likely at its apex right now at sixteen years.
Great bottle, opened up nicely with only about an hour of popping the cork. Juicy cherry and strawberry with a good amount of acid and tannin. Very balanced and polished. Looking forward to the next one.

Deep ruby to garnet, more medium ruby at the edges. Ripe cherry, dark chocolate/mocha aromas with sweet red fruit, sweet oak. An interesting wine with moderate residual tannin, medium finish, and overall good balance. Notable for the prominence of Cab Franc and Petit Verdot. 89-91.
