Tete de Cuvee Rose Tasting (Brookhaven, GA): After the powerful 2000 Drouhin Laguiche Morgeot this seemed a bit simple and easy going, definitely needs more time to develop that Ramonet depth and complexity.

Intense greenish notes w. yellow and white stone fruit, toast and popcorn. Quite slender figure, but still w. good fleshy fruit, eg. peaches and pears and white flowers. Pronounced acidity. Very long finish. Great now but no rush.
Keep or drink

loved this and reminds me why i need to buy more Ramonet for my cellar. hints of reduction, lots of chiseled lemon, pleasant bitterness and cut to this. very burgundian to its core. in a great drinking window now.

More Wine, Less Delta (Osteria Langhe): Best of a few recent bottles, by a margin. Aromas burst from the glass -- rich, matchstick-laden orchard fruit. The palate is so stuffed and energetic. Young, of course, but I love this bottle right now. Delicious with nuance and plenty of everything.

Dinner at Osteria Langhe (Chicago, IL): An outstanding bottle of Ramonet. Very 2015, and really exemplifies why I'm bullish on the vintage. This was both racy and fat at the same time. A good dose of oak here, and not that much reduction. I didn't pick up any of that Ramonet mint (nor the egg custard that I commonly find in Ramonet's wines) today. On the palate, despite the breadth of the fruit here the acidity keeps this very fresh.
