Best bottle of Matthiasson Rose yet. Salmon color. Deep flavor with strawberries, peaches, and roses. Medium finish. Lovely on a summer evening. Try it! Excellent QPR.

Hot summer day. Fourth of July. Time for some American rosé!
Purchased from Gordon’s this afternoon. Bottle was rapidly chilled. It’s an appealing salmon color, maybe a little more on the yellow side than on the orange side. Nose to me has apple, white pepper, lemon, touch of passionfruit, and kind of a rustic yeastiness. On palate the rocky mineral notes come out, along with a pleasant creaminess on the finish. But the acid is low and it feels a bit closed. Perhaps it’s a bit over the hill?

there's a poopy barnayard thing going on that is surprising and old world seeming but the wine while beautiful may be gracefully fading at this age so drink up.

Always lovely, especially on a hot day with great friends! Same as previous notes.

Always solid and enjoyable. Probably a little over the hill. A little funk on the nose. Very similar to previous vintages.
