  Better than previous bottles that I have had. We took two bottles to Sanders Birthday lunch which were opened and decanted. The nose was red fruit and coffee leading to a palate of red berries, plums, coffee, tobacco and a hint of spice. The finish was moderate to long and smooth.

  One of my younger associates birthday is tomorrow and since he is going to be celebrating at the Indy 500 we decided to take him to lunch yesterday. Since his birthday coincides with my daughters wedding anniversary I brought this bottle along to drink. We had to pnp and I would venture to say it would score much higher with a few hours in the decanter. The real funny thing is the birthday boy does not drink so the rest of us shared the bottle. Dark red fruit on the nose. The palate is dark plums, black cherry, tobacco and a hint of spice. The finish which got better with each glass and a tinge of sweet pipe tobacco. Really nice wine. It was the first time I had tried the 2014.
