At about 10 € this has become our "house-white" . Fresh, balances with nice minerals and acidity. Wet stone, grapefruit and peach. I recomend Riesling-lovers to try the estates better ones as they can compete with the best in class. 89 P for this one.

As a fan of Mosel and Rheingau, I must confess of being slightly biased against Pfalz as too often I have found the Rieslings there somehow raw and hard and unbalanced. So I'm not exactly authoritative on this wine but anyway here comes the experience.
There is a certain undenyable quality and care that went into this one - competing in the standard 10 EUR category which tends to be occupied by the kabinetts (or for the very huge names, estate wine) levels.
However it feels clearly one sided. The key theme is lime here, tons of lime, in fact, and citrus, but nothing really to balance them.
So on its own it's not a crowd pleaser to say the least. I suspect however that with the right food, this can be quite enjoyable probably.
Update: better on day 2, i.e. more balance and hints of tropical fruits provide at least traces of excitement. 84p on day 1 and 86 on day 2 average 85p.

Classic and fresh Pfalz riesling. Very easy to drink but gained some weight and interest on the 2nd day.
