90 minute slow ox. Drank with dinner. Nice nose of blueberries and cassis. On the palate blackberries, amareno cherries, blueberries. Some tar, scorched earth and chocolate. Finishes with smooth, dry tannins. Nicely balanced. Great expression of Howell Mountain fruit

After drinking a painfully young 2017, I decided to try the 2016 and bingo! This was much more ready for business and another fine example of the 2016 vintage. Agree with cablover123 review. Still drinking a touch young but still fun now with a decant. Can see achieving 95+ in the future as Galloni and Jeb indicated. Nice work Jeff!

PNP. It was ready to go. Dark deep purple. Still young and showing the alcohol around the edge, but, did not overpower. Blackberries, dark cherries and a touch of tobacco on the nose. Dripping dark cherries and soft tannins. This is mountain fruit at it's finest. The finish is one I will remember days later.
I really like like the TOR wines that Jeff Ames makes so I decided to give his own label a try. After tasting Rudius, I placed another order.

Nice well balanced mountain cab. Hits all the right notes. Maybe the best Rudius I've had the pleasure of drinking.
