Terlato Cru Tasting (Ever - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. All red fruit with faint spice and a dollop of earth. Lighter style for NSG, this comes across as accessible and ready with moderate depth.

Herb/wood/spice nose with a little soil but not much fruit. Nice acidity - raspberry, sour cherry, nutmeg, cedar, cranberry - finish a little unresolved.

I like this. Not the most complex or full of depth but a delicious example.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Walk around tasting, brief note. Bright red fruit, energetic and engaging but slightly lacking depth. I’d never have thought this from NSG.
