On the nose, nice blackberry, black raspberry and hints of chocolate. Still some nice tannins and astringency in the mouth. No rush on this, but it is unlikely to improve -I think it will remain stable for 2-3 years

Rather disappointing. Hanteillan was one of the CBs I cut my teeth on when I started buying Bordeaux and I've always been a fan since.
The nose wasn't great - good notes of blackcurrant and dark cherry, but something green in the background. The attack followed suit with much the same sensations - the fruit simply isn't ripe enough, leaving a rather clumsy, coarse aftertaste. Just about drinkable but no more.
This is the second bottle so I'm concerned for the remaining four - the comparison with a Clos Du Jaugueyron Haut Médoc 2014 just underlined how poor the Hanteillan was.
Neal Martin liked this a lot on release - perhaps his sample was better.

Black cherry, currant right out of newly opened bottle. Still has acid, but tannic structure is gone. These should probably be drunk pretty soon.

This is real, if simple, claret, fully mature. I enjoyed this case. Honest wine.

My last bottle. This is drinking very well now, and way above its price point.
Wish I had more.
