On the first pour, the nose was slightly restraint. On the palate it was soft and full of sweet ripe fruit.
After an hour, the nose opened into a wonderful bouquet. On the palate, there was more grip, likely due to the vintage.
Still youthful, with a long finish. Hard to believe a Volnay could possess such masculinity!

La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Simpler red fruit with more enticing spice. Whole cluster. Rounded textures, so fun right now.
