I was concerned after reading other notes but this was solid. Not tired, VA is there but not too high (I don't have a high tolerance)
Bone dry, tart, elevated acid, takes time to open up and best at cooler temps. Aromatics remind me of mature champagne, with a whiff of apple cider vinegar (VA). Also lots of hay dried fruit and a strong mineral component. Really surprised that this was so delicious. Showing great now but no rush to drink.

NEEDS food. French farmer deliciousness. Butterscotchy, salty, honeysuckle, bitter, smoked lemons, bit of 10W30, all with enough acid to keep things chugging along nicely.
Had with Jeremiah Tower roast chicken, watercress and radish sprouts. The salty-bitter matchup let everything else loosen up and fall into place. Big fans. ($25 - Perman)

Not my kind of style - that reflects the score. Much in line with vin jaune, saline, sea, reductive fruits pear, lemon, honeydew. But too salty, too reductive.
