  Auction purchase, screwcap, That was interesting. Lacks the power and exuberance that marks Loring Pinot, but sometimes that is good, especially when pairing with food. A bit more earthy, rustic. Could have passed as an affordable Tuscan.Would buy again at price, to have on hand and expand the pairing options in the cellar.

  I enjoyed this 11 year old Pinot Noir. Color of medium red with light edges. Scents of red berries and acidity/heat. Tastes are flush with red berries, with a light finish at this point.

The Spousal Unit refers to the flavor as “charcoal” - and not in a good way. But I see promise in this wine. The fruit is not fading and it has stuffing to carry it a while. 13.8% alc. With pan seared pork chops with a balsamic glaze. Recommended.

  Consistent with last bottle. Nice "pinot" nose of rose petal and plum, but faded towards the finish. Some left over in the bottle moved to oxidation quickly.
