Auction purchase, screwcap, That was interesting. Lacks the power and exuberance that marks Loring Pinot, but sometimes that is good, especially when pairing with food. A bit more earthy, rustic. Could have passed as an affordable Tuscan.Would buy again at price, to have on hand and expand the pairing options in the cellar.

I enjoyed this 11 year old Pinot Noir. Color of medium red with light edges. Scents of red berries and acidity/heat. Tastes are flush with red berries, with a light finish at this point.

The nose is all about black cherry and orange zest. Something funky and earthy carries through at the end of the bouquet. The palate is cherry, herbs of rosemary and herbs provance, pomegranate, orange zest, cloves and nutmeg. The frit is sor and hard. The Spousal Unit refers to the flavor as “charcoal” - and not in a good way. But I see promise in this wine. The fruit is not fading and it has stuffing to carry it a while. 13.8% alc. With pan seared pork chops with a balsamic glaze. Recommended.

Consistent with last bottle. Nice "pinot" nose of rose petal and plum, but faded towards the finish. Some left over in the bottle moved to oxidation quickly.
