While not unenjoyable, I suspect this is a less good bottle than some recent notes - full coloured, definitely off dry nose and not as austerely dry as others have observed. Worryingly flabby on opening but curiously after a couple of days was more taught. Intriguing but I doubt if the best is yet to come

Bottle was past its drinking window. Still some aromas noticeable (roosvicee, caramel, honey, linoleum), but too sloppy to rate.

Tasting Bas, Lennart en Maarten (Bas, Zeist): Very old and over the hill. Toffee, caramel, honey, macaroon, grapefruit, roosvice

Nicely developed riesling with moderate petro and honey aromas. Quite dry. Lacking a bit of acid. Seems to be on the declining side.

Big petrol nose, quite severe, extremely dry and powerful. Mature and classy.
