Tasted after a one hour decant. Although CellarTracker lists this wine as a Grenache blend, it is in fact 70% Carinyena & 30% Garnatxa. Deep ruby in colour with a purple rim. Aromas are sweet red/black fruit, an earthy minerality & this wine is somewhat herbaceous. On the palate, full bodied tart black fruit, blackberry, cassis, herbal, well integrated background oak, a hint of caramel with high acidity & medium soft tannins. The finish is long to black pepper & a chalky minerality, and this wine is still surprisingly lively & aggressive & should age for several more years.

Color: Transparent ruby with a purple hue. No signs of aging. Nose: Some fruit mixed with some oak. Good expressiveness. Mouth: Excellent expressiveness. Very long. More leaning towards red berries and cherries than dark fruit. After a while of breathing there is dark fruit,as well. Very fresh. Some bite from the tannins but in a good way. A sturdy wine but with some elegance. 15% alc. but extremely well hidden. After swirling the wine you can see what is called in German "Kirchenfenster" meaning dense and sticky droplets sliding slowly down the glass. As much as I know it has to do with the glycerol content of the wine. I guess it wont't benefit from further cellaring but will last for another 5 years easily.
