A toast for 2024! As always, overdelivering. So nice crémant, blend of 60% chardonnay and 40% pinot noir, from the coop in Arbois. Typical in nose and on palate. Fresh with creamy effervescence. From Lot LC84, bought in Nov 2020.

Fresh nose dominated by brioche. On the palate a touch of sweetness, medium(+) acidity, medium body. Fresh flavours of lemon, red apples and bread surrounded by soft creamy mousse. Good length. Day two gives the same impression.
First bottle from Lot LC95, purchased 2022-06-30. 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot noir, grown on grey and blue marl. 12 months on lees in bottle. Dos 8 g/l. Excellent QPR.

Afterwork blindtasting: Brioche, cream caramel, yellow apples, minerality. Nice lively mousse, very fresh acidity under a slight touch of sweetness, medium body, good length. Well balanced, uplifting. Flavours as aromas plus a bit smoke. Just as lovely day two. The blindtasters took it for an entry level champagne. Agree, very good QPR. Will definitely buy some more and label it our "house sparkling".
From the coop in Arbois. Made of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot noir, from chalk and marl. Newly bought, but no data on deg.date or dosage.

Slightly hazy lemon juice colour, plentiful bead. Fairly broad, tangy nose, like tinned mandarins with whipped cream. Quite soft and not very dry, with lovely green grape and more mandarin. A little aromatic. Straddles the boundary between moscato and demi sec champagne, albeit at the strength and approaching the price of the latter. Nice stuff, something different, although at the top end of what I'd pay for a regional crémant. 100% chardonnay base wine with a little vin jaune added before bottling. [Composite cork + cage; 12% abv; WoodWinters, £17].
