This is a huge California Merlot, cherry on the nose, brimming with fruit - ripe blackberry, with some dusty notes akin to the Rutherford Bench. Very much a big, juicy red, my kind of wine. Definitely Californian in style, not French, which fits Reynolds' description of how it makes it wines.

Drinking very well now. A hedonistic wine that packs a lot of delicious fruit and spice on a solid structure. This is the RFW merlot vintage to pick to go with dinner in 2020 IMO.
