Let it breathe a lot. It's pretty and lighter than I remember from the winery. With time breathing, that amazing earthy/talcky thing comes out. It's beautiful. After this bottle, I'm going to treat this wine as a very pretty Pinot far older than it really is. The bad news is that I'm surprised. The good news is that this wine is worth figuring out on my next visit to Oz.

Tapanappa didn’t produce a Foggy Hill in 2015, and I think this bottle demonstrates why. There’s some of what I (maybe mistakenly) associate with Tapanappa: savoury, robust Pinot. But it’s overlaid with with a cloying sweetness - ripe strawberries - that create a contrast but one that I wasn’t a fan of. There’s tannins here, and acidity too, so it might settle down in the future.

very sweet but still some acidity and body to balance the initial "sugar-attack". Transpararent colour and not too high alcohol percentage. With some time in the glass the wine becomes balanced and nice to drink.
