Very, very light. Red fruits and slight spice...but not much more. Medium-high acid with low tannins. There really isn't much to say here. Bad QPR. The wine is okay, but not at all what I associate with Cote-Rotie. 87 points. Drink now - 2026.

Sometimes you just need to a great pepper steak accompanied by a great glass of Syrah from the legendary Côte-Rôtie region. The wine just keeps evolving. At first black pepper, black currant and bitter olive-stones. Then salty notes of bacon-fat. With a alcohol-level of 13% this wine appears juicy and succulent on the palate. Pleasant acidity and followed by present yet balanced tanninstructure. Why don’t I drink this more often? Perhaps because of the price in general… Still a very great glass of wine

Very pretty bottle, in balance. On the light side for Cote Rotie, fruit forward with excellent balance. Doesn't have the panache and pepper and depth to get to outstanding, but a nice wine that works well with a meal.

Lovely CR. Accessible and bright with red fruit even umeboshi. Transparent structure with clear intensity and legs. Lithe. Long finish even swamped some cheddar popcorn at one point. A little floral and a little tar. Great vibe here.
