Popped and poured from 375ml. This is a dark wine with a medium-red core, everything-staining concentration, and some heavy sediment at the end of the bottle. The nose is grapey, with cooked fruit and some burnt wood aspects. In the mouth, this is rich, loaded, and slightly grainy from the sediment. The finish is likewise rich and deep, with chocolate and fig aspects. Overall, this is a big hitter of a wine that should last forever. I don’t drink enough Vintage Port. 90 points.

Tasting Training for WSET Level 4, Units D4 + D5 - Session 1: Wine 6: The wine has a dark ruby colour. The nose has medium(+) intensity and seems a little restrained. Aromas include primary characteristics of dark cherry, blueberry, blackberry, and cassis, as well as secondary characteristics like chocolate and spices.
On the palate the wine is sweet, with medium(+) acidity, high-level tannin that is fully ripe, high alcohol, and a full body. The flavour intensity is pronounced, flavours include primary characteristics of dark cherry, blueberry, and blackberry, as well as secondary characteristics of chocolate and spices. The wine has a lightly creamy texture, the finish is very long.
This wine is of outstanding quality since it has ripe, high quality tannin that is well-integrated, good complexity, very good concentration and intensity on the palate, good balance of fruit, sweetness and acidity, and a long finish. While the wine is enjoyable now thanks to the high quality of tannin, it is very young and will benefit from further aging in bottle. 92+ for now.

Stil young and full of berries and sweetnes. Lasting all the way to the moon. Glad I have one more bottle to save for another 10-15 years or so.

Blåröd färg signalerar ungdom. Rejäl kraft i smaken där russin dominerar. Detta vin ska givetvis sparas för att uppnå högre njutning och poäng.
