  Pese a ser solo un fortificado de diez años, es el buque insignia de una de esas bodegas portuguesas que no suelen tener distribución en España, pese a pertenecer hoy en dia a la poderosa Sogevinus, quizás por lo escaso de su catálogo y por eso mismo, es interesante poder beber de vez en cuando algún tawny cómo éste, embotellado en 2015.
  Se siente dulce hasta en nariz con notas a dátiles, pepita de café, uvas pasas y madera de sándalo. Definido pero sin complejidad. Al paladar retiene la suficiente acidez cómo para ahogar el alcohol y alargar la longitud. Sencillo y de textura asedada. Nula profundidad y escasa persistencia pero de plena satisfacción. Resumiendo, un caramelito para adultos y por lo tanto mejor como postre.

  A decent enough drop of tawny - rich, smooth, subtle background note of seville orange - certainly OK at this price, but I still prefer my port to be "red".
