  • Decanted and started drinking after 20 min. To the nose, dark fruit much more than red fruit. Slight oak and slight forest floor, with slight pepper, mushroom and garrigue joining as it opens. On the palate, dark fruit (blackberry = black raspberry = black cherry; and blueberry) much more than red (red raspberry - cherry) for fruit - quite like licorice. Spicier than expected with white and black pepper more than all-spice and cinnamon; anise early falls off as opens. Tannins providing structure in the background. Medium to full mouthfeel; medium length. A pleasure to drink and excellent QPR.
