Right Bank Bordeaux Tasting: Tasted single blind. Palate cleanser midway through the right bank wine line-up. Deep & rich flavor profile with a slightly sweet & oily finish with a touch of effervescence.

Olivier Leflaive Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2013 vs. Domaine Matrot Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2015: First 20 minutes in the glass it seemed shy and anonymous. Then started to wake up slowly. A firm acidity and very tight minerality. The fruit is present with some notes of green pear and peach in the beginning of the mouthfeel. The finish somewhat short and with a slightly bitterness. But on the second day much more elegant! The fruit still with pear but now melon and peach added. Long finish with a perfect acidity and minerality balance. Sits in the mouthfeel for long time. Very delicious. Drinking now I would strongly consider a decant, but also consider keep in cellar little longer. My points 92-94P (In comparison with the Olivier Leflaive Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2013: two somewhat different styles of this prestigious Meursault vineyard. Both wines were tested over two nights, first PnP directly from the cellar, then vacuum corked and tasted again next day. The Oliviere Leflaive the most powerful and immediate generous but the Matrot the most elegant and memorable)

Pale straw colored, crystal clear, melon and white peach with a stoney minerality true to its name. Taut, crisp ,almost nervy acidity. Cleans well after a decent length. Not overly complex and a little linear but outstanding nonetheless. Perfect drinking window now.

The first bottle was oxidised, the second was the bomb. Sappy, dense and rich but light on its feet. Loaded with orchard fruits and cut with a fine line of minerally acidity. Expansive and long on the finish.

Muted nose. Expected a fuller body through the mid-palate. Finish is long, good acid. Slightly underwhelmed.
