Popped and poured. Gorgeous yellow color with tell-tale aromas of orchard fruits. Much more zippy on the palate than I was anticipating which was a welcome surprise as it lifted the typical slight creaminess that white rhones can exhibit. Very enjoyable bottle. 2016 whites from Washington are continuing to impress! 91pts.

On the heels of the Rotie which was an interesting contrast. At first this came across as almost a bit too sweet (Rotie was sour - like lemon peels). After I got readjusted I liked it though. It's got lots of honey and a bit of softness and maybe hints of floral. It's a good value.

Lovely for the price and actually a pretty easy drinking. Almost finished the whole bottle on my own. It does have a bit of tartness, but it also has this almost sweetness in the form of honey to it. Easy drinking. Very enjoyable. Not extra acidic, but acidity lends a nice balance.

(Two Vintners Grenache Blanc Boushey Vineyard) Hello friends. In our third offer of this year, back on January 11, I wrote about Morgan Lee’s Columbia Valley Syrah, calling it “the way forward for Washington Syrah.” High praise, and I meant it. As of June 1, I have a partner in praise. In the June issue of Wine Enthusiast, Sean Sullivan gave the wine a 93pt review (only his third 93pt-er for $25-and-under Syrah, and none have scored higher). Before that review trickles through all the regular local sales channels, let’s jump in and grab our share. [Note: in addition to the Syrah, we’ll also have offers for Morgan’s new-release Grenache Blanc and a reoffer on his excellent Zinfandel below.] See key for # of bottles currently available.

Tart with lemon/citrus notes. Fresh and clean. This wine belongs in the summer, but it worked as a January dinner starter.
