  • Clear medium amber- almost orange with brown rim. Beautiful complex mature nose of medium intensity. Aromas of figs, prunes, cedar, sweet spices like nutmeg, chocolate, vegetal like boiled cabbage, mushroom and forest floor. It enters the mouth with a refreshing acidity which is balanced by a flavourful palate of figs, tobacco, chocolate and forest floor. It is medium bodied with silky texture, elegant and fullly developed with long aftertaste. You have to drink up! Reminded me a lot of a mature Bordeaux. Tannins are still somewhat astringent but with food pose no problem. Excellent mature wine which has mellowed beautifully. There was a lot of sediment.
