Coravin fun - Burgundy & Bordeaux (KC's place): From Coravin. Aromas of brambles, earth, slight sweet spice and, with time, a little polished blackberry and oak with a chalky underpin. In the mouth it is juicy, fleshy, the fruit is present, generous, a little oak support, tiny mid palate burr, touches of sous bois. Moving along nicely. Lovely.

Last bottle of this vintage - slight age showing but still deep - cherries chocolate and herbiness on nose - lovely rich fruit, almost voluptuous, transiting into something slightly more austere with good length. Excellent.

Gentle fade at rim but limited evolution. Nose of leather, raspberry. Medium to full bodied, fine tannins, iron fist in velvet glove typical of the domaine (and why I’m a fan). Not a flashy wine but in the hands of the masterful Mortet this is special nonetheless. 5yrs ahead.

Coravin fun - Burgundy selection, Talbot bracket and supper wine (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Savoury, black over red fruits, slight minerality, gamey and a smidge of 'shroom. Juicy, savoury, black over red fruit, slightly chalky textured tannins, fruit persists long. Lovely.

Deep colour with rich cherries / damsons but no jam and hints of hedgerows. Palate follows the same parameters quite long, pleasing but not complex.
